While many start dance as hobby, the metamorphosis to a performing artist requires commitment. NrityaShrm is dedicated to teaching its students this process of mastering the art of kathak with practice and dedicated effort to achieve proficiency. This is reflected in our motto “Udhyemen Hi Sidhyanti Sarv Karyani”, meaning “With effort alone can one achieve excellence in all work.”
From humble beginnings in 2018, it now grown into a community of dedicated students learning through classroom and online classes.
We are based at HSR Layout, Bangalore.
About the Founder
NrityaShrm was founded in 2018 by Mrs. Shalu Balooni, a trained Kathak Dancer and Choreographer. She has learned Kathak from a very young age under various gurus of Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj in her formative years and later at Bangiya Sangeet Kala Kendra, Kolkata. She is a certified Kathak trainer and continues to refine her art under the guidance of her current guru Mrs. Jhimli Dasgupta.
